Aromas of peach, graham cracker, and Swiss chocolate highlight the sweetness that underpins this pleasantly juicy cup. When sipped, we noted flavors of green tea, grapefruit zest, raw almond, and peach. Its bright, lemon-like acidity softens in a finish of green tea and graham cracker.

This coffee was an November 2026 Roaster's Choice selection.

Imported by our friends at Crop to Cup:

"Moata Raya has been dubbed by some as the King of Ethiopian Coffee. He is an expert not only in farm management and processing, but also an experienced QC professional. He is also the relationship and quality manager for Crop to Cup in Ethiopia, connecting buyers with talented smallholder farmers, helping to start profitable and sustainable relationships.

"He is the co-owner of CoQua Lab, a QC training lab, and co-founder of Mocata Trading, a coffee exporter that currently works with 10 smallholder farmers. His career started as a technician for Technoserve, training farmers and cooperatives around Agaro. He then spent years working directly with growers across the country before those relationships evolved into the work he does today.

"Moata has always had his own ambitions to produce coffee on the caliber that he has helped so many others achieve. This is the result. The ‘Lunar’ aspect of this honey process refers to the fact the coffee is moved to drying beds at night, where it is spread and turned every two hours for 10-12 days. The lower temperature helps to control and extend the fermentation."
