Featuring three standout lots from Huila, Colombia, this box set is the perfect introduction to the wonderful world of Pink Bourbon.

The Pink Bourbon Process Box contains 4oz each of the following lots:

El Chaferote Washed: a soft light roast with notes of redcurrant, nougat, and plum.

Finca Filadelfia Honey: a rich light roast with notes of strawberry jam, milk chocolate, and red grapefruit. 94 Points from Coffee Review!

Buena Vista Natural: a juicy light roast with notes of hibiscus, marzipan, and black cherry.

The steep hillsides of Huila, where the Central and Eastern Andes converge, provide the ideal altitude and microclimates for Pink Bourbon to thrive. Since the variety is low-yielding it's relatively uncommon and expensive, but the higher prices paid to farmers mean that they are able to reserve more of their land for forests, intercropped fruit and vegetables, and more.

Explore the full spectrum of Pink Bourbon from this legendary growing region!

Pink Bourbon was first "discovered" in Colombia in 2014. Farmers there believed it was a spontaneous hybrid of Red and Yellow Bourbon, similar to the Orange Bourbon mutation and the rest of the coffee world followed suit. Through recent genetic testing, however, it is now understood that Pink Bourbon is actually an Ethiopian Landrace imported anonymously to Colombia, most likely to help diversify the coffee population. While visibly similar, it stands apart from the Bourbon varieties that originated in Yemen.
