This round-bodied cup opens with aromas of raisin, toasted hazelnut, and toffee. When sipped, we found flavors of Swiss chocolate, raisin, black tea, and blood orange. It has a soft baked apple acidity, with a finish of black tea and nutmeg.

Imported by our friends at Crop to Cup:

“Introduced to us through the Good Coffee Program outreach in Oaxaca, this is one of many informal associations—typically comprised of 2-10 families—sprinkled around the Miramar de Yucuhiti trading post in the highlands of Oaxaca’s Mixteca Region.

“Red de Miramar is led by charismatic and dependable Cecilio Pérez Vásquez. His neighbors are the region’s most dedicated specialty producers, including this lot’s producer, Andrea García Feria. This group has adopted a cooperative approach to promote specialty coffee as their way to take control over the economic destiny of their community.”
